JALAPENO SPICY SAUCE

This spicy jalapeno sauce is flavorful and delicious. It is gluten free, sugar free. You can use it as a spread on your breads, as a dip for your vegetables, fish fries and patties. Patties are small rounded burgers made with meat, vegetables or fish.

INGREDIENTS

5 jalapenos washed and cut into halves

15 cloves of peeled garlic

a small bunch of fresh green cilantro

1/2 cup of dry roasted peanuts

juice of 2 medium sized lemons

1 teaspoon of vinegar

2 teaspoons of onion powder

8 tablespoons of oil

1 teaspoon or more of salt according to taste

PREPARATION

Add 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan and after the oil is hot add the peeled garlic and the cut jalapenos to it and fry them well in the hot oil till they are slightly brown.

Now remove the pan from heat and allow them to cool.

In a electric blender add the roasted peanuts and blend till they get powdered. To this powder add the cooled jalapeno, garlic with lime juice, vinegar, onion powder and salt and blend well.

Now add the remaining oil and cilantro to this mixture, blend well for a few more minute till the mixture is smooth. Taste for salt and add more salt or lemon juice if needed according to your taste.

Delicious jalapeno spicy sauce is ready. You can store this in the fridge for about 3 weeks.
