COCONUT FLOUR BREAD

Since a keto diet does not include carbs, I tried making bread with different nut flour and powders.

This bread recipe is made with keto friendly coconut flour. It is easy to make. It has texture and also tastes good.

This bread is sturdy enough to make sandwiches and it also toasts well.

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup coconut flour

1 stick of butter (1/2 cup melted butter)

6 eggs

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

1 teaspoon onion powder (optional)

1 teaspoon sesame seeds

PREPARATION

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

With an electric whisk beat the eggs and melted butter together. Wait till the butter cools a bit before adding to the eggs, so that the eggs don’t get cooked.

In a large bowl mix the dry ingredients, coconut flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder and onion powder.

Now add the dry ingredients slowly to the wet ingredients and beat them till a nice thick dough is formed.

In a greased loaf pan transfer the dough and sprinkle sesame seeds on the top.

Place in the preheated oven and bake for 40 minutes.

Enjoy rich savory coconut flour bread just plain or spread with cheese or butter. Or make a nice sandwich with your favorite meats and vegetables.
